Job Title: Program Assistant
Available: UNTIL FILLED
Location: Central Area, Seattle
Hours: Minimum of 10-15 hours per week, flexible schedule M-F 9am to 4pm.
Compensation: This position is unpaid. The Silent War will help secure academic credit if applicable.
Job Description:
•The Program Assistant provides support with the implementation and documentation of key projects.
• The Program Assistant will be essential in providing support to reach project benchmarks and goals as well as organizing documentation of project work for timely reporting and assisting in the coordination of volunteers.
• Provide support for community outreach events and project activities as needed.
• Participate in the development of ongoing timely assessment reports on progress of projects.
• Assist in the scheduling of Project team coordinator meeting and volunteer orientations.
• Take notes at project meetings and disseminate to staff.
• Assist in identifying and recruiting volunteers for projects.
• Maintain and update volunteer database and paper files.
• Assist in developing and leading volunteer orientations.
• Respond to general office calls and inquiries about projects and be able to communicate The Silent War’s vision, mission, and goals to the public.
• Gather and organize research information relevant to projects as needed.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications for Position:
• Must have excellent phone skills, be flexible, and have good self-organizing skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills a must for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Partners and volunteers.
• Ability to work respectfully with people of color and diverse cultures- Spanish a plus.
• Strong wiring and computer skills, especially Work, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Must be able to operate and maintain in good working order general office equipment.
• Ability to have fun and not take themselves too seriously and be patient.
• Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s license.
